Self-Care Sunday

Self-Care Sunday
Somethings that is usually put on the back burner for everyone (school counselors included) is self-care.  Yet you have to be at your best to give your best. I realized this week that I really needed some time to rejuvenate my body and my soul. Here is my favorite self care routine.

Detox Bath – 1 tub full of hot hot water
1 cup baking soda
1 tablespoon ginger
1 cup epsom salt
4-6 drops of your favorite essential oils (I have two blends from Eden Gardens right now that I truly love! Sunshine Spice and Renew)

Coffee Hair Mask -(I collect used coffee grounds in the fridge for this) Wet Hair and generously apply the coffee grounds. Then I put my hair in a pony and let it sit until I am done in the bath.

Lemon Water – Nice cold glass of lemon water with ice

Healthy Snacks – I usually choose an apple with cheese and white cheddar popcorn.

A Good Book or TV Show – I would love to say that I sit and read books for hours… but the reality is that I don’t have that kinda energy. Instead I set up the laptop and watch one of the many show on my Hulu queue.

What does your self-care Sunday look like?

  1. Hi,
Great advice but since I have been blogging so much it is hard to do.
Congratulations on being Danny Ray’s featured blogger. I was his featured blogger too. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need a blogging tip or two. That’s what I blog about.

    1. I like it for two reasons…. it makes my hair super soft and makes the color richer. I have a few grays and they don’t hold die well so it’s my way of touching up my color. 🙂
